Layout and cables

The BFG Tech ES-800 800W power supply has compact size and measures 150mm(W) x 86mm(H) x 165mm(L).

The open grill on the back allows the exhaust air to exit power supply with minimal resistance and combined with 138mm fan ensures that power supply stays cool.

This unit comes with a single and quiet GLOBE 138mm ball bearing fan. Model RL4Z B1382012H, 12V, 0.4A.

Internal layout of the ES-800 power supply is quite complicated and looks different from what we saw in similar ATX units. Components divided in two sections, which do look like two separate power supplies. One is for of them features Frequency Conversion technology, which according to BFG can actually emulate virtually any size power supply and therefore be at least 80% efficient, even with loads as low as 10% of the unit's maximum capability.

BFG, or should I say Andyson (OEM manufacturer of this unit), uses high quality Japanese Nippon Chemi-Con capacitors in ES-800.

Remember, that opening your PSU is extremely dangerous and will void your warranty!
